Chance for Drinks Industry to Spotlight its ESG Initiatives

The Global Drinks Intel ESG Awards recognize the extraordinary contribution and commitment that those in the drinks industry - whether producer, supplier, marketeer or operator - make towards growing a greener future.

From the sustainable spirits and wine products of the year and the top rewilding/nature improvements to the most impactful responsible drinking/alcohol harm-reduction initiatives and the global travel retail ‘green champion’, these awards celebrate wide-ranging environmental, social, and governance initiatives in the drinks industry. Categories also recognize the best sustainability marketing campaigns - both in GTR and other channels - and use of eco-friendly packaging, plus companies that have taken steps to reduce and/or offset their carbon footprint, cut greenhouse gases, and/or improve their water usage.

Adjudicated by an independent panel of judges, each category will have a champion, who will receive a trophy, with gold and silver awards for other outstanding entries.

Individual ‘Alexander Smith Awards’ will also be presented to the best of the best: GTR Green Champion 2023, Sustainable Spirits Producer of the Year, and Sustainable Wine Producer of the Year.

The results will be announced on the evening of Monday 2 October at Rado Beach Helen on Blvd de la Croisette in Cannes. The venue is ten minutes on foot from the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes, home to TFWA World Exhibition & Conference which is taking place at the same time. Results will also be published in the November issue of Global Drinks Intel magazine as well as online.

Deadline for entries is 6pm BST on Friday 28 July 2023. The fee is GBP195 per entry for the first three entries. Additional entries are GBP155 each. The judging panel will accept entries showing ESG steps between 28 July 2021 and 28 July 2023. Email queries to esgawards@drinks-intel.com
