Sweet Saba is not your typical candy rush commercial store. It’s more of an art infused adult candy experience. Mayaan Zilberman launched Sweet Saba in NYC in 2015, after she found success with her lingerie brand The Lake And Stars. The store is a sophisticated and creative venture, much like her lingerie products. Mayaan’s edible art brand is also socially conscious, with 10% of the proceeds benefiting the non profit organization, City Harvest.

City Harvest was started in 1982 by a group of New Yorkers who noticed good food going to waste in large quantities.  They organized numerous volunteers to transport the unused food from restaurants and supermarkets and deliver it to soup kitchens and food pantries across New York. Fast forward 22 years later and the volunteers have expanded into the thousands. The charity now employs 160 people as well as having 22 trucks to transport the food to hungry New Yorkers. Recently the organization has broadened their love of feeding the people by helping out during disaster relief in other locations, such as those affected by Hurricane Maria which recently devastated Puerto Rico, as well as Texas and Florida which had fallen victim to Hurricane Harvey weeks before. With their success of passing on healthy and good quality food to people who need it, their dream of feeding the world is starting to become more of a reality.

Sweet Saba, which means "Sweet Grandpa" in Hebrew, has collaborated with Campari, the world renowned Italian aperitivo, to create something beautiful. Campari’s theatrical red color was the inspiration for this piece of avant-guard candy. Imagine lady gaga, Bvlgari and Superman’s Kryptonite all combining their powers to produce this virtuosity of a candy bling ring. If you are not valiant enough to wear this piece of art, then why not garnish your Campari cocktail with it? It's more inventive than your regular slice of lemon or orange, and is sure to impress those attending your holiday party, making it that much sweeter.

You can purchase the ring now and through the holiday season at www.sweetsaba.com for $62 (10% of proceeds going to City Harvest).

Here's a Campari cocktail created by Pamela Wiznitzer, Creative Director of Seamstress NYC, to match the ring.

  • 1.5 oz SKYY Vodka

  • 1 oz Lemon-infused Cinzano Bianco (recipe follows)
