Gone Bourboning!
Hope everyone is enjoying Negroni Week so far!
We’re going to be taking a break from our regular posting schedule this week while I am away in Kentucky. I am very excited to be attending the Bourbon Affair for the first time, which is essentially a whiskey fantasy camp that takes place right at the source.
There’s a lot to cram into just a few short days and there will be many surprises along the way, to be sure. I do know there will be some “experimental” whiskey barrel sampling, behind the scenes production peeks, distiller dinners, and even some spelunking and ziplining (with bourbon - what could possibly go wrong?) in the caverns for which the state is famous. I’m looking forward to spending time with Buffalo Trace, Heaven Hill, Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, the brand new Bulleit distillery at the former Stitzel-Weller and Jim Beam. And for a slight change of pace, I'll also be visiting Copper & Kings brandy distillery.
In the meantime, our writers are working on more bibulous stories for you, and Adam is finalizing the results of the recent NY International Wine Competition and getting ready for the international wine and spirits competitions in Melbourne later this month.
Then it’s hard to believe, but Tales of the Cocktail 2015 is next month!
Who says summer is vacation time for professors, eh?
Have a great week everyone. Or maybe I should practice saying “y’all”? I’ll definitely post pictures on Facebook and Twitter, so be sure to like and follow along!
Happy sipping,
